Anyone fitted one of these?

I managed to burn out my window control relaly yesterday :headvswal

Managed to resolder the burnt out track... phew!

I'm about to give up.

The wiring article i got from this forum says "GREEN WIRE TO MOTOR". 12v to this wire makes the window go down :(

Any help would be gratefully received. :bow:

Test to find out which wire goes live +12v when window is going up then CUT that wire.

Then on the MOTOR side of the cut wire put the up wire from closure and on the SWITCH side of the cut wire put the switch wire from closure kit

FRONT LEFT = GREEN or BLUE (age dependent)

FRONT RIGHT = WHITE/BLACK

Check engine light comes on and off sporadic.

Hello, I have a 1996 twin turbo manual with 64k miles. I recently started having the check engine light come on sometimes and other times it doesn't. When I checked the codes these are what I got : If anyone has had these same codes what did they change to fix the problem. Car runs fine with check engine light on but want to fix issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Reverse switch problem

Me again.
Reverse lights don’t work. Checked the bulbs and the fuse by the drivers pedal, all seem fine.
So I assume it’s the reverse switch. I’ve bought a spare and tried to swap it today. What a pain that is! I failed.

So I have two questions:
Is this possible without dropping the gearbox?
I wanted to test it was definitely the switch before I went crazy getting it out, so unplugged the old one and plugged the new one in, put car in reverse and switched on ignition and then pressed the end of the switch in but it still didn’t turn the lights on. Does the switch work this way? That you can push the plunger end in and it should turn on?

Tyre size recommendations

Cheers all,
I did consider a 225/45/17 but thought that it might be too much chunk on the side wall. But so many more options!
Looking at the calculator, going from a 235/40 to a 225/45 is about 7.5mm more sidewall which isn’t much. Loads more choice too. Think I’ll go for that, thanks for the help

Tyre size recommendations

Use this site or similar to get the rolling circumference difference when you change wheel diameter and tyre profiles.
It will tell you how much the speedo will over or under read, and the difference in overall diameter to work out if they will rub anywhere.
