Hi, to all, wonder if you can help me. To cut a long story short , MY boost guage seems to have alife of its own. Sometimes it does not even register or move, then seems to work. The car pulls very well, so cannot see it as being a turbo problem, more a vac line problem etc etc. Would any one have a way to check and sort this, or would plumbing in a greddy boost gauge ( which I now have ) sort this out. All i would need is where to plumb it in etc..( its also an electrical guage ) Any help would be appreciated... ;)

Apparently these stock gauges are very unreliable.

Yes, plumbing in an aftermarket gauge will help you see what it is really boosting at.

Sorry I can't help with where/how it should be fitted.

Mike...

Mate. get an aftermarket guage. the stock ones are, well lets face it they are crap.

As you now have the Greddy electronic gauge, mount the gauge, locate the sensor as recommended in the instructions (probably in the engine bay), then connect a vacuum line to the sensor by inserting a ‘tee’ into one of the vacuum lines coming of the balance bar, then run the cable from the sensor to the gauge.

As for your factory gauge, either a vacuum line has come adrift, or the gauge/sensor are faulty.

At the tip of the arrow (in the attached picture), you see a hose connected to the balance bar, insert the tee in this line.

Also you’ll see the factory sensor connected to the end of this line, in this corner of the engine, if it’s failing due to a boost leak, it is likely to be in this area.
