Hi guys. Im really New to all this.

 

Currently I dont own a 300ZX. I work for mercedesBenz and about a year ago a new employee started, he worked for Nissan Previously and he had a 300ZX, Non-Turbo, Auto. I believe. He's not technically minded and doesnt really know anything about them!

 

Well, I fell in love with the look of the 300ZX, Took a Drive and I love it. So, I have to get one!

 

I really need your guys help!

 

I dont know what to go for and what to look at. I have about £4000 atm to spend. But that can be increased to £5k.

 

I fix AMG's at work all day, so I need something with power! so has to be a Twin Turbo (dont want to be disappointed after driving beefy cars all day then stepping into a slug at 17:00).

 

But what about Auto / Manual? I love manual cars to bits! But I know alot of companies make poor Manual Boxes. What about the 300ZX?

 

Also. What kind of mileage do these thinks tend to last to? I've seen a few at almost 200k miles. But is that the very far end of the scale?

 

So basically Can i grab your opinions? :O

 

Manual / Auto?

Price for a TT?

What do you mean 2+2? whats the other option?

What do I stay away from?

Should I touch one thats been monified before in any way?

 

Anything at all would help me loads. You peeps must know this car like the back of your hand!

The only way to gain real first hand knowledge.

Meet some owner... look at the cars....Come to some meets... All in meetings section.

Reading on here and looking helps but does not replace face to face stuff.

You will be made welcome and others have followed the same route. HTH

 

Dont bother lookin at mine tho... its not immaculate and its not a Turbo(thank fook) :D :D

I agree.. I took it with me when I bought my Zed.

 

The best advice I had was if you do not feel happy when looking at a car, walk away. There are many good zeds out there, but also there is a lot of cr@p.

 

Wait till you find one that ticks all the right boxes.
