Hi guys,

Im viewing a 300zx tomorrow. Its all UK registered but is still in KPH and has delimiter.

Whats involved in converting to MPH? Is is purely electrical or mechanical too?

Secondly, how much to remove limiter and do MPH change?

Any recommendations to get this conversion done?

best may i found was a replacement ecu that was chipped increase power a bit and remove limiter and does not affect power steering ztech did mine i`m hear andover down south dont know where your from.

You fit a converter chip which derestricts and converts to mph using the original jap clocks, you also get a nice black little mph sticker which sits nicely over the kph letters.

Thanks guys,

Im from Kent, so down south too!

How much is this converter chip and where do I get one? How much to fit and where from?

Also these mph stickers, do they look ok or is it better to get new dials?

my power steering goes very light sometimes is this to do with de-limiting???? as I dont think mine has a chip in, seems to read in K even though the speedo says MPH on the outer ring of the dial?????

Thanks guys,

Best way is UK clocks mate, good luck in finding some tho' and be prepared to pay circa £100! ;)

That just fits over the 180Kph jap speedo so you don't have to keep converting the speed in your head.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, apparently you can change the 33K Ohm R10 resistor for a 20K ohm one and that'll do the job as well. Your speedo will then read im MPH (just need a sticker over the 'K' of KPH if it bothers you'. This would sort the speedo out, a new chip will delimit the 112mph (180kph) jap limit.

I plan to do the R10 resistor conversion soon.

The other option is a delimeter box that converts your pulses thus makes your jap speedo read in mph, but I've seen a few people say this can cause power steering and auto box issues.
