i am shortly selling my 200sx and figure that the next sensible step would be to a 300.

i will have about 4k to spend.

i guess what id realy like is a tt swb manual but dont think ill find one for that money ( although there is one on your board)

has anyone owned both a 200 and 300, any views.

i have read the buyers guide but i cannot seem to find out if rust is an issue on these cars.

help would be most welcome

I really like the 200, my mate has a sweet one and its quick as fook.

£4k should buy you a decent 300, dont know how rare the swb manual tt is though, most of the zeds you find will be imports so rust probably isn't that much a problem

Hello & welcome,

£4k should be enough - and you really should check out PK1's car in the for sale section, it is a slicktop which means light, faster and better handling!

Personally - I think rust can be an issue on these cars but only the UK ones or the ones that have been in this country for too long.

Good luck...

no rust on mine.. period.. been checked ,checked and checked again...

 pk,s car is a real nice motor mate well worth a look

dont touch a uk car unless you know exactly what to look for,and you wont find a clean rust free gen man uk car for that money i know i have one and took me about a year to find one.to be safe i would look and listen hard to people who know patence is on your side.

I own a 200sx and a 300 and the 300 is the smoother drive and ride, very similar to an S14 in the way it drives but more fun when going sideways in a large car. My Z will be for sale too soon so if anyones interested????????

There are good rust free UK cars about, but like you say "Not for that money" ;) :D

i have expressed an interest in pk1's car in the forsale area, and if its around when i have the money from the sale of my car i will take a serious interest. i dont want to mess anyone around without having the money first.

is there anyone in the Evesham area as i would like a look over a good car. i realise it wont be much faster than a 280bhp 200

out of interest, where are you based pk1

just looked outside - found one!! :D

very good, but i bet its not up for 4k is it?

mine cost me £4K in march 2owner's (last one 10yr's) 1994 uk man no rust did take over a year and only looked at 3 uk car's 2 sold before i could get to them so be fast.

i went from an s13 to a very fast 300, people may disagree but i think there two very different cars. much as i loved my 200, the 300 is a hundred times better to drive! feels much more secure on the road, the brakes actually work (well mine do anyway!) and the noise is awesome. depends on what state of tune your 200 was in, the 0-60 might not be that much quicker than u think but the 0-100 is absolutely amazing. best thing youll ever do!
