Now that the plenum is off I'd like to get it cleaned up. Don't want to go for polished as that's far too bling for my liking. Anyone know the sort of place that may be able to do this ? Of course if it's Essex/Herts or even Cheshire then that would be best for me.

This has been lacquered in the past though, together with the rest of the engine bay, and it's now gone yellow-ish - yuk ...

not sure if this is to far away from you m8?

these did my wheels for me and made a cracking job

and i did enquire about mine and i was going to remove it and take it down

and they will do whatever you require, they do motorbike frames and car parts for shows etc so can't see a plenum being a problem

especially if you dont want it to blingy

ive just bought one from smithy so not bothering now

Had one of mine bead blasted externally and internally (as far in as they could get) for £50 by a company local to me. I now take all my metalwork/engine covers etc to them as the results are superb.

Yep - bead blasting should be great. Worked a treat on one of mine Andy

Hmmm, that's quite nice ... Does it stay clean or has it gone white and crusty ?

ok when you take the plenum off is there a gasket under it? and other bits.. etc.. i might do mine while the box is out at the same time, i can take it to the powder coaters when they do the gearbox etc and have it blasted there and polished up.

It was looking good when I sold it Andy, but I didn't fit it back into a car. As far as I know the new owner has kept it looking fine...
