My zed hit 16.6 psi yesterday with the boost controller switched off.

Im wagering theres nowt wrong with the BC now and thinking it could be a sticky wastegate.

Anyone know a way of bypassing a boost controller to see how it performs stock.

Also can a leak in any of the pipes cause overboost like this??

I knew the zed had been trouble free for too long!!!

bypass the BC. solenoid : connect the 2 hoses going into the solenoid to each other

and you should be in safetyboost

one of the hoses to the wg-actuators could have popped off or have a split.

Me and chunk are of the feeling its not the boost controller, as its alarming ok, but it doesnt back off like it should, just keeps on boosting, it hit 17, with the warning/limiter set to 14psi.

Almost like the boost controller is telling the wastegates to move, but they are not doing so.

Check the 'gates manually bud, stick 10psi down the actuator pipe and see if they are free?-if the pipes are split/off this will show up too.

ive not used the profec BCs but the Blitz that i have has a scramble boost function where you can adjust the boost ratio when you hit the warning limiter. this is supposed to be used to drop the ratio slightly, but can also be used to increase the ratio higher (probably for pure pedal to the metal situations like overtaking a Zonda!)
