what is the best thing to use for polishing the deep dish part of the alloy?

iv used wonder wheels stuff with little effect?

 

they arnt in bad condition but do need a little tidying to make perfect

would something like silver cleaner help or would that make it worse and damage the shine?

To be honest m8 I used metal polishing compounds and a mop on a power drill to gradually bring the alloy up to 'bling', you can get some specialist alloy wheel polishes/pastes that work well too, cos its metal you can be harder on it, most folk treat alloys like a paint finish and fiddle with it too much. hth ;)

Mark's right, i'm in the process of restoring Muffy's alloys to put on my car and even starting with 1200 grit paper, brasso is working a treat, really brings the shine up, i'm almost (touch wood) up to a mirrored finished but its hard hard work and involves a lot of elbow grease
