It would appear that I need a new Speedo as mine isn't giving the correct read out and it only goes up to 100mph.

 

So the options are:-

 

a) New standard speedo £100 + £40 to fix or

b) New non standard speedo.

 

Anybody got a picture of a standard (1989 G reg Jap Twin Turbo) or can recommend any non standard speedos?

sounds like the car is still restricted.does it chime at 100kmh and will the car go off the clock?.if not you need a delimiter fitting.

Problems with Delimiters :

 

a.) They have a tendenacy to fail over time

b.) Your Speed sensitive PAS is no longer working how it should at the correct speeds

c.) Your Hicas is no longer working how it should at the correct speeds

 

Clocks quicker to fit, both involve the same labour to get to the Back of the speedo, but the delimiter involves wiring and the Clocks are plug and play.

 

Delimiter is the cheaper option, and easier becuase UK clocks are very hard to get hold of.

honestly though only the cheap delimiters fail.got uk clocks in yours dave?

I Have The Delimiter That You Attach To The Back On The Speedo That Changes The Kph To Mph For 40. Takes Approx- 5 Min To Install.

You can also just buy a speedo face which is calibrated diffently.

 

Theres usually some on ebay.

My speedo is in MPH but only goes to 100mph, I have the speed warning chimes but with a mines ECU which has a delimiter built in. all very confusing.

 

Who can supply and fit UK clocks?
