Hi,

I am very interested in buying a Nissan 300ZX. I am viewing one next week.

See car:

What should I ask the seller?

What sort of things should I be looking for?

I found out that the car has been recently imported. December 2005!

Should I be worried buying a car that has recently been imported? I thought Japan had the best MOT's in the world costing approx £2k every 2 years! Also, what sort of service history am I likely to see? Would it all be in Japanese and mean nothing? With the strict MOT tests, surely the car should be mint?

Thanks

Colin

At that level of price and given you are a novice I would pay for a full professional inspection by someone familiar with the model. IMO.

Looks nice mate, if it was my money I would buy royals car that is for sale on the forum at the moment, much more car for the money and with known and reliable history.

royals car

Hi mate,

I live in Kent as well. My car is also (probably!) for sale (same price but much higher spec then that one :) ). If you want you can come and have a look, and if you want to pay petrol I'll drive down to Polgate and look at the other one with you. That way you've seen two zeds in one day and if you arn't interested in mine I can give you a decent opinion on the one you're looking at. Send a pm and I'll pass you my phone number.

Dave.

haha, ditto matey!!

I currently have 3 and a half grand, if I find the other 2 and a half before it sells I want it.
