I cannot get the rear window de-mist. Why is the de-mist switch spring loaded?

 

sorry for the arse ? but need help!!!

 

Check that the 2 connectors are attached to the rear element on the window and that when you press the switch voltage is registered. Check also that the element hasnt been broken by accident.

The switch is spring loaded because its a toggle switch - press for on - a light should appear illuminated yellow in the switch, then press again for off.

Also check the fuse to see if it's blown...mine did on my car for no apparent reason.

I must be mad. On the rear wash wipe switch. The bottem position states "mist" what does this do??? I cant see anything happening!!

The mist position lets u do one sweep of the rear wiper only. The button returns to off when u let go.
