Can this be set using Datascan, by viewing the timing indicator on the laptop?

Thanks

don't believe so as that will be the timing the ECU sees (something like that). Pretty sure the only way is with a timing light.

Vijay is right, you have to adjust the timing to match the datascan figure using a timing light.

The loop on the PTU sometimes gives odd results if you use it for a trigger, better to use the LT leads off No 1 coil.

Sorry for sounding a bit dumb, I’ve looked on the forum for info but not found anything which means that it’s probably a very simple job. But is there a 15degree marker if so where is it? Then like an old distributor do you just loosen up the CAS and rotate it until the timing is correct?

Thanks

Cheers!

how to dow with Underdrive Pulley ??

If the underdrive pulley doesn't have the same marks then you have a problem. I hear that some of them don't. You would need to get it aligned and marked up.

ok because mine don't have any marks :'(

But can't we use the datascan for the setting?

For exemple, I wait my engine is hot then I chek my timing.

If it's too high, so i turn right the CAS and restart the car. Let it warm up and plug the datascan and check the timing.

Is this will work?
