:D hi mate. it wasnt too bad yesterday trying to get into Oakham but this afternoon trying to get OUT was a nightmare! have you got any idea what they're doing there :confused:

Doing some work on the level crossing, probably won't improve matters though, I think work is scheduled for next weekend as well and then again in July. People who make the decision to close the road on a Bank Holiday weekend want shooting, never thought about putting parking restrictions on the diversion route, thats what they get paid a lot of money for to make a complete b**lls up of everything.

yeah as i was trying to spin her round in the road (and promptly peeing off people coming from either side) i thought to myself it would have been nice for someone to put signs up saying "Level Crossing closed, Diversion --->" :xxx: :rolleyes:

Thats too simple for Rutland County Council and Network Rail, I know that there are a lot of complaints going in over the congestion during the weekend, it took some people over an hour to get from where you were turning around to the other side of town to go to Rutland Water. Local people are furious about it, it took me half and hour to get to Tescos yesterday, a journey that normally takes 5 mins

jeez! lucky im not going to be over there again for another couple of weeks. do you have to go through all that lot every day to get to work or are you on the lucky side of the crossing?

No I am on the wrong side of the crossing, have to go either over the main crossing or Brooke Road to get to the town, next weekend will sure that I don't have to go out for anything!!
