Has anybody fitted EBC brake discs to their Zed?

Are they OK?

I'm looking for replacements for my front discs, but without needing to go for any expensive upgrades as my car is only used for normal driving.

If yer looking for discs that perform well and at a reasonable cost, then I can help yer with 3G brakes mate, they use Brembo blanks as a starting point before machining to their own spec. If yer took some porterfield pads as well would save a few bob on them too.

I can recommend the 3G discs as a very good upgrade to stock parts. Very reasonable cost too

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

ive got ebc discs on mine and to be honest the braking isnt that sharp, might be a few other issues but they really are not biteing that hard...

Yep, as a start to an up-grade EBC are good if you have the correct pads fitted as well

But the 3G from Smithy is a better option if you have the readies ;)

I got some brembo discs from Ztech.

Only running with crappy Black EBC pads at the moment and they are great.a Gonna upgrade pads when they come through.

Out of interest, how much are a pair of 3G front discs?

Anywhere between £140-£160 depending on No of grooves etc

ebc brakes are a poor quality disc imho,i have fitted quite a few for people and life expectancy is not that great and a lot of squeeling as well

pretty good mate, 160 delivered for 10 grooved ( most common) and if yer take a set of porterfields as well, then knock a tenner of the normal 80 quid price of them ;)
