Ok guys I have fitted some 19s with offset 20

 

These obviousely stick out a bit about 12 to 14 mm id say... beyond the wheel arch !!

 

My immediate thought is to get the back of the hubs machined down.

 

Has anyone any experience of this job ??

 

Is a no no or OK can do ??

 

Sorta the opposite of fitting spacers I guess !

it all depends on the thickness of the wall where the nut sits at the bottom of the counterbore.

if there is plenty of meat in there then its possible. otherwise you may have to go for a narrower tyre to give the impression that the tyre is under the arch eg so it tapers in slightly. imo

Seems to be completely symetrical .. like a built in spacer.. about 30mm thick, so that sounds good then

Took another look and measure and it cannot be done

wouldnt help really, the car prolly looks a little silly with the wheels sticking out 12mm, let alone being an mot failuire, the police would prolly take a keen interest if they saw that parked up.

Might do that ....how far can they stretch em Baz ??

Any way I got 3 cars 20 wheels all 114 pcd so its just another wheel choice till i get the Zeds fat arse sorted !!
