How long do the DVLA usually take to get your car registered? They say on theit site about 3 days but are they known to take much longer? I did a dvla search on the forum but didn't manage to find an answer.

Normally takes 1-2 weeks in my experience to receive the docs back

mines been registered here fro, japan for a few years ( bout 2 ) an i got my ndocuments back an they decided my car was a SUBARU 300zx idiots!!!!!!

This car was the biggest pain for me. Not because of the car but because of my name. They spelt it wrong 5 times before they finally had it correct. The annoying this was I also put down my driving license number to help them get it. Plus my handwriting is very easy to read.

It took a month for a reg change for me. Must be back-log

 

Oh and I just Taxed my car the form arrived on Thursday way affter the budget but it was £175 for 12 months not £170 as the form stated. Played Gov, Played

imoprted a few cars now and they all came back in 3 days ,i took the documents to the dvla and picked em up so saved on postage time.The reg doc took a few weeks to come through though

What is it you actually need? I'm getting an import from an independant dealer so they're doing all that stuff for me but what will they actually be waiting for? the V5 form? Other things as well?
