Coolant Top Up

I want to top up my coolant but im not sure what coolant I should use - and what about if what i top it up with is different to whats already in it? Is it ok to mix?

Why not get the correct coolant from Nissan, its reasonably priced, as for mixing, I know many years ago you could not mix different types but I think its all standard stuff now, if in doubt I would flush it and refil.

I had the coolant flushed filled at zedworld 3 months ago, so i dont think i need to flush it..just wanted to know just in case it may need topping up..think ill call them and see what they use ...

Nissan do ready-mixed coolant too ;)

 

First thing for me though would be to check why the car needs topping up in the first place. I have never had to top up the coolant since I've owned the ZX.

Cars fine - ill check tonight though...is best to check when its cold?

I should be able to see the coolant when i open the rad cap - this right?

An interesting subject, the TTZ site talks about using 'distilled water' + antifreeze, is this likely? Also, does anyone know how many litres are required?
