Hi All

I am just about to insure my car with Livingstone Warman, however they have said that they would not agree a value for my car.

What does this mean, and how do I get a sensible value back for my car should the worst case scenario happen and the car gets written off.

Thanks in advance

Spencer

I think someone on here got this sorted with an insurer. They were getting valuations from (Ztech?) and the insurer was guaranteing that amount. With your deal you'll only get the average book price in the event of an accident.Dave

When i insured my car with Adrian Flux i wanted 10K value. They wanted a list of mods and colour photos. After that there was no problem. ;)

if you are a member of the zclub (as I am) they have a insurance value person. you send pics and he tell you what its worth. mines 18k replacement

norton (heritage) insurance

ZClub is the other club, but for all teh Z cars.

http://www.zclub.net have an insuance valuation officer. As stated above he will value your car and if you present this to your insurance company they will mostly accept it.

You have to be a club member, the valuation is free.

I insissted to speek to an underwriter at my insurance company. Had lenghty chat Full list of mods + photos and got an agreed replacement value of £18k, but it now costs me £1200 a year and bfore it used to cost me £600

Ive done an agreed value on a couple of yanks and rods ive owned.

Take some high quality photos and a detailed list of the mods including Manufaturers name of the parts and who fitted them !!

Approach a recognised Specialist club or dealer for written confirmation of the mods and quality of installation.

This usually works ok :D

UPDATE

I spoke with Livingstone Warman and they have told me that I can't agree a value as the car is a grey import.

Is this correct?
