Good to see the choice available, does my head in trying to find a tesco or shell all the time.

That would enable an extra few degrees of ingition timing. How much is it ?

And there's none near me, so I'd have to spend about £90 in fuel just getting there!!!

There are much cheaper/better ways of boosting your octane rating.

Great for the Pod etc.

(and I'm not talking those crappy "Octane Booster" additives).

what fuel from tesco do you buy as no shell garage near me

It's the super unleaded from bot the Tesco's near me in Suffolk. I think it says it's 99RON on the pumps. Mine runs fine on it.

Gaz

ok why not use optimax and use the fuel aditive from demon tweeks that gives you up to 3-9 more ron £20 a bottle but works out cheaper and might get more

if optimax is 98 the you will get at least 102 and max of 107 ron !!!!!!!!!!!!

dont them octane boosters tend to burn/melt your piston rings though? as obviously it runs hotter etc.

NOS® Octane Booster Racing Formula

NOS® performance for the serious enthusiast. Developed to increase octane effect up to 7 points. Blended with MMT and our performance-enhancing Powertane, along with Nitromethane and unique lubricants specially developed for high performance engines.

The bit you need to read properly is".......increase octane effect up to 7 points."

That's "POINTS"!!!! This means, in non-bullshit English, ".....increase octane effect by up to 0.7"
