Best bet is to speak with Johnny about this - I think a car is needed to get the new design of pipes made up for cars with pre-cats. They've only done none precat cars so far wink.gif

I was wondering what difference a precat on the manifold would make to having exactly the same bore piping fitted!!! biggrin.gif

Getting mixed up with all the Andy's here, but does this mean that if a car has pre-cats (1 or 2) then it has different turbos ?

Seems unlikley to me, but who can second guess what Nissan do eh ?

correction to yesterdays posting :O i have only one pre cat andy , you where correct smile.gif

I spoke to the Macca before and as you told me Mr. P the other week the Precat is part of the Barry Manifold. Left hand side hhhaaapparently. wink.gif

Iain was saying that you have to replace that exhaust marigold with a pre '93 UK spec jobby I think he said to eliminate the precat or gut the mesh type stuff out.

He's out at the moment but he'll put it right if I've cocked up!

So the decat pipes are NO different for a car with a precat or without.

Anyway Mr. P this is exactly what you told me the other week now that it's all coming flooding back with some prodding of the grey matter. wink.gif

I saw either a post or an ad on one of the US sites where someone (prob Stillen) sells some sort of stubby manifold to replace the pre-cat. My assumption was that this bolts on the back of the turbo, as a direct replacement. Therefore, down pipes and pre-cat can be replaced by the de-cat pipes.

Timmy me old fruit cake that is correct mate 100% wink.gifAll down pipes will fit when you remove the precat,Now tell me who would replace the deacat pipes and leave a third cat in the manifold???
