Evening/morning :o

Just booked another trackday for next month in my S13 :hyper::cool: Snetterton on Tuesday the 19th.

It'll be my 2nd trackday and I've been itching to do it again since Donington in October, the car was quick enough and handled v well then but since then I've had a rebuilt engine (>300BHP), a rebuilt gearbox the other day, 300ZX brakes fitted all round, and Whiteline ARB's fitted, can't wait :nana2:

Anyone driven Snetterton before?

Cheers

Pete

Yeah, drive 'em like they were supposed to be driven :D

Yep exactly! Feels nice when you're making the tyres squeal at 80mph being thrown across the car by the G-Forces.

Rob.

Hey Shrimple!!

I've never driven Snetterton, but i've ridden it a fair few times, Sear and Richies corners are great, but beware Russells bend!!

Its a fast track buddy with lots of hardish braking. So, make sure you service yer brakes before yer go!

AndyZ lives just round the corner from Snetterton and has never been! maybe you should drag him along too?

I missed out on a track day last weekend at Mallory Park, here's a piccy of my mate enjoying his 2.0l Audi powered MkII Golf...

Less than a week to go boys, anyone fancy it?:hyper:

Can't wait!

It's got the longest straight of any track in the UK on it, sweepstake as to what speed I'll reach in my puny 1.8? :D

yep drivin snertton in a formula palmer audi and there are some friggin sharp corners, though in a single seater the car had more bottle than me

Think I did it on a bike a few years ago but in bad weather - was quite bleak!

Should be great in May. As you say, long straight. Kind of a 'power' circuit. I'd say you'll see 140 on the clock. At a guess!

M fave is Almeria in Spain - did that three times in one month for work once.

I really want to get to more as well but havn't got the cash to replace tyres and pads and all that after since moving house :-( The whole reason I choose this Zed because it was set up so well for the track, lots of power but plenty of safety zone too.

Have a good one mate

Yeah the extra stuff costs a small fortune, but it's why I got the car - to enjoy it, and I could never give it proper beans on the road.

I've bought spare new tyres, brake pads, and have oil changes bits for before and after. It'll be a tank of petrol there and back, a couple of tanks used on track, then anything which breaks! Then there's the stuff I've recently fitted, big brakes, ARB's, gauges, new gearbox, engine, bushes, mounts, etc etc :D

I'm sharing the cost of the track cost with the father in law and splitting the driving time, so he's getting a bargain for £90!

Would love to see a zed on track

If I wasn't the only one bringing the bread home at the moment I'd def be there mate, just can't justify it at the moment. One of my good mates that left the Marines just before me has just called and asked me to go to Prague for a 3 day stag do!! He reckons it'll be £200 quid but there's drinks and food and all the rest so it'll probably be double that at least. He even got me into the job I'm in now so can't refuse can I?! Can't bloody afford it either!
