Been having a load of problems (see other thread)

I decided to call it a day & got my roadside assist to have ago & recover it to a garage. Whilst i was at work the chap managed to start it by playing around with the autobox gear stick - over the phone he said it was running ok...

When i got home it started ok but it is running lumpy & shaking the car abit, dosent sound right (this mean its not firing on all cylinders?) - certainly not running ok (I drove it around our village green slowly).

Is it safe to drive it to the garage, ie will i cause any harm to it by driving it 20-30 mins to the garage? The chap at the garage - over the phone thinks the PTU has gone/almost gone (also had some poor acceleration/hesitation problems under 2500rpm for several months..)..

Thanks

Barry

, i was told by a mechanic to do this but not a good idea especially as you cant be 100% this is what the problem is, could be a list of things just a case of checking them out 1 by 1 , hth. , many reasons can cause missfire/or rough running lumpy etc ,
