Does anyone see any problem mixing the R & S ....???

Just how good are Toyos....??

can't help with how good as one tyre ive never fitted

but reading the HUNDERDS of posts re tyres and MOST seem to think a good tyre

you don't mean r+s for speed rating do you (not that iv'e heard of r+s for speed lol) if so no way would i mix

but i think you mean the "model" number which wouldnt be a problem

BUT usually different model numbers of tyres mean the compound m8

so you may find one is ok the others maybe noisy ie harder

so after all that waffle i would think best to stick to same tyres all round

if thats not what you meant, pass lol :nelson:

R and S are different tread patterns of Toyo, don't think there is that much difference. Have a look on mytyres.com or blackcircles or the like for info.

I've got S's all round on my S13 and they are excellent

Can't see it being a problem have different fronts to rears :)

I have Toyo T1 s and they are grippy as anything and cut through puddles exremely well no aqua planing.

you should be running a 35 profile on the front and 30 profile on the rear if your running on 19's.

Think you'll find that 'R' is for reinforced and has a rigid shoulder band.

Shouldn't think there's a problem mixing (on different axles)

Thanks guys, comments on grip etc is useful...

The letter refers to Toyo T1R & T1S.

They are on offer so I think ill get them, not a bad price for 19s.

As regards the profile suggested... 30 rear would give me 30 x 255 = 7.65 cm tyre wall height and on the front 225 x 35 = 7.87 cm. I wanted to go higher so I went for 225 x 40 = 9.0cm / 255 x 35 = 8.9 cm. Ive had too many problems with uneven roads to chance it.

On my MR2 I flat spotted my super low profile tyres and buckled the rim.....expensive... ouch !!

I hope they will fit ......... overall tyre / wheel diameter is 10/13mm taller but ive got adjustable Teins on to allow me to get the correct height to get the wheel under the arch. This is close to the type of profile fitted to new fast cars by manufacturers. Sorry to be so conservative but I want the setup to be useable !

Lets hope they dont rub anywhere.

Well see...

Thanks again
