Learnt 2 Things Today

1st;

How to repair flying concrete damage to the front spoiler (skip lorry incident) which I have now done (fibre glass mat and resin) and looks wicked, put the steel mesh in the gap below (____________)

Looks the monkeys bits, will post some new pics of the Z soon......about time it had some moe pics taken (now the weather is nice and sunny)

2nd;

The airbox/filter and surrounding area is a pain in the arse to work on and get out, then to cap it all off you have to get fooking thing back in.......nightmare!!

All that so I could get access to fit the mash easier!

Ah well, Job done now and I am to do the ICE install tomorrow, wish me luck...LMAO

That airbox is a pain in the arse to get out, but you then had to put it back in? Brave lad! biggrin.gif

Timski Boyo!

I can say itwas the hardest thing I have done on the Z so far putting the air box back in and re-attaching the pipe work!!

What a nightmare.......

Now I have lots of different coloured wires, cables, wood cutting, hole drilling, door card hole cutting and other cutting and wire things to do tomorrow, have had enough for today!

Oh the Joy of Z.....

The real pain in the arse is I had that very same air box OUT! and refitted on Matt lad`s car when I did the headlights upgrade the other week..Doh!! Jeff TT

Get shot of it Mat Lad, I reckon getting the engine in and out would be less hassle. wink.gif

...wait there, off to phone Nissan Delia...

ROFL biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yep, they quoted me 850 squid to do an engine pull but get this...1500 squid just to get the standard airbox out!!! biggrin.gif

Jeff go read the seat thread I posted mate. wink.gif

the hardest thing to take off and put back on are the two large intake pipes that go onto the butterflies.....without a doubt they are motherbitches.....especially for softy hand boys like myself

You're not wrong Tooley mate, took me and the Bro an afternoon of fucking about to just get the airbox out. Seized and burred screws etc.

Putting the Blitz filter on took all of about 10 minutes from start to finish! wink.gif

One job I don't ever wanna watch or do on a Z again.

Does that mean I have some sort of record then??

Only took me about an hour to get it out, do my mesh and get it back on....the two pipes to the left and right were the hardest to do, the oval shaped ones under the lights but saying that I had a mare getting the right side on the tube just wouldn't have it, what an all round royal pain in the arse.....

Been planning my shelf and things for about an hour or so.....should be ok when finished!!
