dont know if anyone can help on this....

I have a disk created on a Performa 400 and that machine is now dead. The disk contains a word processed document which I need to retrieve. Does anyone know how I can do this either using a pc or a sun blade ?

Any ideas or a site that maybe contains some sort of emulation download ?

Emulator may not help you. Yes it will make your PC run like one but it may not let it read the discs. I have an amiga emulator but I cant put in Amiga discs an load them cos of the way an amiga uses the disc is different.

Is it a removable media that you want to recover (Syquest or Floppy)?

 

You say the Performa is dead, what's it doing? It is unlikely that it is totally dead, does it have the dreaded 'chimes'?

I used a very early version of this years ago and it seemed to work OK.
