Evening,

New to this, so apologies if I sound like a nonce.

I've got an TT import - nothing but problems...

Continuous, but subtle misfire when hovering about 3000rpm - tried everything, no joy.

Now auto gearbox "slips" when cold, and will not pass third gear.

Obviously sounds terminal - I'm told this an obvious indication gearbox is f****d!

Anyone had similar problem - this is my second gearbox!

Aye.

Torque convertor is full of crap so this means autobox has gone due to lack of trans fluid.

Might as well get one bought now and wait till old one goes bang.

Thanks for the response - pretty much what I expected- any advice wher to look for another box?

That is the same thing that happened to my car after i bought it. I had my gear box completely over hauled and i put a B&G cooler on it. now i'm breaking my car. if you are interested in the gear box. It has less that 300 miles on it

check the fuse in the footwell, if that blows the box will pull off and remain in 3rd mate

How much are you looking for, for the box mate?

How you know that T lmfao
