Well as a biker i'm used to the whole nodding thing and respecting their machines or passion for fast bikes etc but i've never had it in a car until now with the Z..

 

obviously i've had a few 300zx drivers give me a wave but today i was quite surprised when a guy in a very very nice skyline gave me a wee wave never seen this happen before especially in a different model of car.. fair enough another Z but a Skyline!

 

I gave him a nod back as i was too bust admiring his car (the nod comes naturally from biking lol) and didny have time to give him a wave but it feels good to be recognised/respected by people driving other cars!

I had the same a few weeks back from a nice purple R34 skyline :)

maybe an ex zed owner? most people are pretty ignorant to what zeds are even being a jap owner themselves.

good point clarkey.. probably what it is as i don't think i would ever have thought of giving a skyline driver recognition not because i'm ignorant but because i'd be thinking that he's wondering wtf's he waving me for.

I find that i get people walking past the car looking at it, it happens more when I am walking back to the car from a shop or something and you see people in the car park just looking as they walk past.

 

At first it was embarressing, but now I just hit the alarm and it makes them jump and look a bit sheepish.

I do it out of habbit. I figure anyone driving a skylark or a zed knows and loves the cars. However its only been in the last 3 years that I have ben getting returns. Maybe its because the cars are now firmly with the enthusiasts and not with dentists and brokers

I had someone in a skyline flash me the other day...

Sometimes I've had whole bus-queues turn their heads to watch the ZX cruise by.

 

It is a great feeling, shows what special cars these are :cool:

I had that yesterday with a guy in a skyline, gave me the 'nice car' nod. Nice, black R33

The ZX was the first car i ever had my first wave in..............was beautiful and i will always remember it, it was very gentle and tender............LOL

Yeah, most Skyline owners seem to acknowledge us Z drivers which I think is nice seeing as we all drive Nissans!!! You'll always get one cock though who doesn't wave and thinks he's at the top of the food chain!!! Supra owners are like this too unfortunetly...

The GTS-T is very much overated car tho would love a GTR!

 

AS for the Supra owners its because they had to pay double for the car for roughly the same performance lol!
