Possibly looking at a 300zx, but need some info first!... :)

I currently have a mr2, but have a baby on the way!!

Curious if it's poss to fit a baby seat in the back of one of these motors? Anyone got any ideas??

Also what are the Autos (TT) like to drive? Never really had an automatic car before and a bit wary for that reason!

Cheers any help on this people!

Someone Just Last Week Fitted A Baby Seat In His Zed Mate

ok... that sounds good. What about my other question?

I have only just got my Zed. It is an auto TT and it is a pleasure to drive. You could always look for a manual.

I took the buyers guide from this site with me to look at the Zed's. It was a massive help.

autos are fine mate just get one thats bin looked after , change the gearbox oil reguarly , best advice i can give is drive one and see what you think , ps mines an auto and it doesnt hangabout !!

I think Cona fitted a baby seat last week.

As for autos, I think they're great - I have one and I only had manuals before.

Import autos (certainly Twin Turbos) need an extra oil cooler fitted.

Autos are more common and tend to be slightly cheaper than manuals.

Then you need to deicide about TT/NA, slicktop/targa, LWB/SWB and UK/import!

Well I dunno about the whole auto thing as I've never driven one before, but defo a TT and preferably a Targa top as that is what my mr2 tubby is.

What's the difference between the SWB/LWB, UK/Import??

SWB - short wheel base - 2 seats

LWB - long wheel base - 4 seats (2 are small though!).

SWB are rarer.

UK/import is just that. Some people say UK cars tend to have rust. Imports will probably need a UK stereo, alarm and an oil cooled for an auto (if they're fresh off the boat) plus they can cost more to insure.

Its all a bit of a personal preferance thing really. I wanted auto from the off and thats what I got. But you might be better off with a manual to be honest if you aint driven an auto before. I find mine is great and as for power delivery there aint a lot in it. Good luck with the hunt. I hope you make the right decision Jim.

oooooooh... will look!

Ah! .... I think Z-Man actually emailed me through ebay asking if I would swap! I replied about 10mins ago asking for spec and pictures etc. Not got a reply yet... cool.

Can have a nose in that thread!! :)

just spoken to one of my mr2 mates who was under the impression the 300zx TT auto would be slow?

How heavy are these things and compared with a 280bhp mr2 , what are they like?
