hi all,i'm looking at buying new wheels but dont know if they'll fit.my car is a jap import 300tt which has been slightly lowered.

the wheels are:

Volk Racing TE37 RAYS

PCD: 114.3

Front: 8.5J x 19 offset+29 TYRES : Bridgestone Potenza 235/35/ ZR 19

Rear: 9.5J x 19 offset+34 TYRES: Bridgestone Potenza 275/30 ZR 19

jeez i love them wheels!

the pcd of 114.3 is correct but as far as i am aware the offset should be between 35 and 42, so the rears should be fine but im not sure about the front. if the offset was too high u could use spacers to bring it down.

but tbh, them wheels look great so bang em on and see what they catch on! at least u will look the *****x whilst crashing into corners :p

One of my fave wheels!!

You'll need a spacer on the front, get some longer studs aswell. Well worth it thou!!

They aint cheap wheels fella, mind those kurbs!

Isn't the lower no.offset brings the wheels outwards!?

I run 30 offsets all round and love them dead on the arches, so i don't understand the need for spacers.

you wont need spacers for them offsets, you might get away with the fronts but you may need longer studs due to the offset

some pics for you ;)

Ive tried loads of diffrent offset wheels on my z and found you can run 8" wheels on the front with 0 offet and possible up to -15 .on the rear with 9" max is + 15 offset with out a arch roll. IF you flare the rear zed arch a low offset can be used .You can do this with a arch roller and heat just keep flareing untill you get it where you want it .Do search on driftworks for arch flareing. These are 17" wheels you will have to playabout with offsets when you alter the wheel width. For instance a 11 or 12 inch rear may fit with a high offset eg 50+ but with a + 15 offset it will stick out of the arch loads.A few of my freinds do drifting and they love 0 or - offset wheels so to make the rear or front track wider and to strech silly narrow tyres on big rims eg 195 0n 9" or 10" wheel this is to look good and lower the tyre ratio [sidewall] to stop side wall flex to make the car breakaway easier for driffting.

Has anyone heard of Bridgestone G-Grid's cos i have them on my import. Dry grip seems really good - wet is awfull

I have 245's all round. The front tyres are a really tight fit in the wheel arch. If the wheel arch cowling comes off a little bit it rubs the front wheel at extreme turning.

id check your tension rods/bushes as its a sign the bushes are worn, you will normally see a goo residue leaking from the bushes

if those tyres were on when the car was imported,id imagine the rubber to be a bit harder for japanese roads, and as you say fine in the dry, nightmare in the wet,and an upgrade maybe a worthy approach
