daft question this, can anyone tell me how I enter commnd line parameters in MS-DOS?? It's been bloody years since I've used dos and I can't remember how to enter them...for example, I need to enter a parameter after the actual execute command....make sense?

Most DOS command line parameters are prefixed by "/"

 

eg: dir *.bat /s /o-d

or just enter the command then ? e.g. dir /? that will give the possibly switches for that command...

LOL :D

 

Or get Linux or Unix where switches are not so Ice Age to deal with! ;) :rofl:

 

Mind you saying that MicroShaft knicked all that stuff from BSD anyway. ;)
