I'm hoping to get a Longlife exhaust system with my next pay cheque but i'm still undecided as to what tailpipes to have fitted. Twin round (each side naturally), single round, twin square, oval, letter box, Jap, rolled - there's almost too much choice!

I'll decide on the day when I can see the full range that they offer but I wonder if anyone had any thoughts.

FYI it's a standard looking black N/A on 18's.

check out the rides mate. I would imagine that almost all the variaties of tail pipes are in use on one or the other members cars.

I have oval's on mine, I think they go well with the tail light shape.

or if your really feeling flush get yourself a nice top of line kakimoto racing pipe from japan .. just so happens theres one under mine!! came with the car!

Noooooooooo! don't use 'Longlife' mate (even though half of mine was made by them). When I wanted s/steel decats I found Charlie in 'Prospeed' Cardiff who does custom exhausts. Go and see him, he's bloody brilliant and probably about half the cost of Longlife.

I don't think my pay cheque would cover that!

The longlife (from cardiff) is only £550 for a full decat, twin exit system.

Had one on my last car and it was great, you get to choose the noise and the look (plus it's much better quality than a powerflow, IMHO).

At the moment i'm leaning towards oval or letterbox but then I might just get twin round tailpipes similar to the standard ones only larger diameter.

Glenn, i've just emailed prospeed for a price.

I've used longlife before and I like to stick with companies I trust but your system seemed good (I could feel the ground rumble before I could see you  ) so I'll check them out.

Looking forward to getting it done, my N/A could do with the extra ponies!

i'd go for ovals I think they work well on zeds, the blueflame 6x4 ones look great.

With stock lights I would go for twin round or oval. However if you are thinking of changing lights then you may want something else as for example I have Enzo style lights and two single round exits, similar diameter to the lights.

I went with 'letterbox ovals' because, as said earlier, they go well with the shape of the lights: -
