I've got a Gemini 1160R alarm on the Z, probably fairly old now. Key fob controller is more than a bit ropey, can you get a new one and if so how much mate???

Open the fob up and see if there is a code inside it, if there is won`t be a problem. Should be on a little white sticker starting with YO or something. Should cost in the region of £30.00 to your doorstep my good man.

Tooley, is it a multiregion player? if so make sure it`s switched on failing that could just be a crap copy or disc. Goto www.dvdreviewer.co.uk where you should get the code to make it multiregion.

it wasnt but it was chipped to be multiregion but it was giving me the same problem before it was chipped and its not the disk as the last four ive tried have all been brand new straight out of the box.......is there such a thing as a dvd lens cleaner i really should have read the instructions when i first got it lol

Them funless buggers are putting more encryption on the discs to detect chipped players!

Should be the same as a pick up cleaner for a CD so could be worth a try, failing that it would need stripping and the lens cleaning properly.

Some dvd are now RCE encoded, not all multiregion players will play them even if they have been chipped...check with the person who chipped it.

the dvd's im playing are brand new ones from tescos and hmv and r uk region anyway....its wierd all my dodgy films play no problem and yet the legit ones wont do diddly....i may be on the tv this weekend as there's a new car programme being made in manchester so unless i can sort it its porno time for the nation lol
