Have you tried Tesco? I had the same problem, and I found Firebond more expensive for my circumatances.

wow - grab the bin, coz you're gonna puke when you read this: FireBond: 25, 4 yrs NCB, declared mods fully comp £480 - muhahaha.

UK btw - they reckon Imports are lots more to insure.

Si.

Imports are an absolute arse to insure and many brokers wont touch them. i used to have an import but sold it after 3 months and bought a uk spec zed

i managed to get tesco to insure a 300tt import for £715. im 21 4yrs ncd. pretty good i reckon!

I can recommend Osbourne & Sons Tel. 0208-388-6000 they were good for me, £1000 for fully comp on a Jap Import and modified 300zx TT Auto. They also do monthly payments for the premiums.

I went with TESCO

I am 22 with 4 years NC and Paid £1245 FC on a Jap 300zx TT.

Others gave me quotes of 1500 to 3200

Don't forget where you live / garaged at night will have a big effect on the price (stating the bleedin' obvious - sorry).

I got £718 plus legal exes, pers accident, car hire, tax = £818. This is with 7yrs NCD with Bell Direct who have no probs with imports. Even though I am a portly 40something, living close to Heathrow and having to park on the street jacks up the price.

I think I'll toddle off to Tesco and see what I get...

Aha! I just checked with Tesco and they knocked £120 off the price (down to £693). Also their goodies / excess etc seem to be better than Bell Direct.

So thanks for the good advice, people, I will certainly get Tesco to quote when renewal comes round.

You sometimes get an even better deal talking to Tesco than using the web site ! Dunno why, but if you have any mods to declare then you usually need to explain them.

jesus christ some of you guys must live on the remotest part of outer mongolia!! what sort of post codes do you lot have?

still chuffed though, it has got to be beter than nearly 700 sqids fire and theft for a f reg corolla GTI!!
