basicly if you ordered 2 baileys dump valves from ebay what normally go for around £30-£50 and get 2.

1. remove recurc valve and blank the top pipe off

2. slide dump valve in lower pipe and clamp up

3. connect vaccum hose off resurc valve into baileys bov

im sure it cant be that easy but if it is its worth a try aint it.

anyone who knows what there on about seriously disagree

It is that easy. Without the fitting kit though you will find the pipe from the bottom of the BOV that goes into the lower pipe will be quite a loose fit.

will it fit though after tightening with clip

will it fit though after tightening with clip

I dont think it will. its quite a loose fit even with the adaptor

oh never mind do you know of any dumpvalves out there what might be direct fit

But they not the cheapest Bov's in the world mind.

better than having boost leak though!!!!!!! (which you will get with loose pipes)

cheap and 300zx dont go well together, it will break or cause you greif in the future.

oh yea, in addition you need extention pipes for aftermarket bov's as they wont physically fit in the same place, so you need to spend ages making a bracket up to hold the bov, possibly drill new holes in engine bay if you dont think it through, and get some more pipework, most of the clips are not screw clips either if i remember correctly they are all spring clips so has to be a tight fit to start with!

I'm going down this same "economy" route with my dump valves. I got 2 Cutom made twin piston dump valves (Baileys type) My sister has links in the trade :). Got the blanking plugs and some T piece collars. was gonna fit them in front of the throttle bodies (best place IMHO) but you might have hit on something there... If the DV conection is too small to fit then all you need is the right size section of hose to cut to make a shim/collar to make a nice tight seal. Might try that when I get the car back.
