1st.

Im having trouble getting the car started. When i put the key in to start it, it turns over but doesnt ignite. I have a remote start on my keyring, it'll start with this always after 2 or 3 attempts. When its started tho the alarm will keep going off while im driving it.

2nd

I got it running yesterday and it was driving fine, after about 10mins every time i put my foot down the revs drop for 1-2seconds then go back up again, it revs go right down to zero and the car nearly cuts out.

Make of alarm: Millennium Mannix - Two way auto Security system, (I dont have the instructions)

Any ideas of what it could be?

I had a similar experience on my Skyline of the Alarm going off on the road (quite hillarious to other drivers im sure to see lights flashing/alarm sounding Skyline chase car on the motorway)i never found out if the car would cut out tho as i always pulled over

It was an intermitent problem (about 3 times in a year it did it) i think it was something with my Turbo timer..

Had the same prob in my brothers car. His prob turned out to be flat battery in the key fob thingy.

If it starts if it's been run recently but not if not driven for a while, it could be the non-return valve in the fuel pump.

PS and yes it was embrassing and it was the first & only time I'd ever driven his car. Having said all this I could be completely wrong

Did this to me when it was up at mine Nathan, still think it's alarm related, like the immobiliser is kickng in?? ;)
