I was at knockhhill today for their rally experience. Thought they would have given us something with a bit of grunt. But no they gave us group N Sierra Saphires. I thought it was seriously underpowered until he took it round the track. Was a great day out though.

Anyway back to the Z.

Had a wee rake about in the boot of the car tonight. The previous owner had kindly dynamatted the whole boot and under rear seat when he uprated all speakers to very good quality ones. He told me when I bought the car that he used home stereo wires to wire the new speakers in for both the front and back. I had a look at the standard speaker wire and it really is horrid. Cant believe Nissan would even use the stuff.

I have one question though; in my boot on the drivers side there is the tool kit and on the passenger side there is pieces of wood to fill the recess and hold the carpet up. Is this standard on all of the Zs?

During next week I will be making an install in the boot which will fill both recessess at each side of the boot. There is plenty of space for both of my subs and amp without infringing into the boot too much. Ill keep you guys posted. :nana2:

(phew what a pointless thread. 1 day into my holiday and I am bored already :o )

There should be 2 polystyrene tool holders either side with 3 pieces of hardboard on metal legs under the carpet in the boot.
