fitted my dial surround..... with a mod...

fitted my dial surround today, got another one with a "Z" logo in it......

I cut away the dash bezel behind the "Z" logo and put in a blue neon so it is backlit blue at night, looks great with the dials lit up blue......

I also put a blue LED in the slot in the surround above the fuel guage as a low fuel warning light as the indiglo dials don't have this.....

looks cool don't you think, i'm going to put another LED in the other side above the water temp guage as a rear fog lights on warning light because I don't have one at the moment and my alarm LED will be in there too.....

Looks very nice mate, I take it you love your blue LEDs? LOL

yeah, I think theres a theme developing - need to put a stop to it i think....

I'm glad you have the white dials and chrome rings, I wanted to know what they looked like with the surround.

Looks damn good.

Problem is, now you have your fascia like that I can't do it.....

Bugga

Be careful how many LED's you fit, stay objective, else you risk the chance of looking too much like a boy racer! IMHO

However I do like the white dials with the steel bezel.

Looks good.

You're missing a needle stop though.

broke it fitting the dials, the needle goes to zero when the ignition is turned on........

no more blue LED's are being fitted, the fog light warning LED will be red and the alarm LED is red anyway........

The low fuel LED is blue yes but it will never be on only if i'm miles from any optimax garage, I keep the fuel level always around 1/3 of a tank, but its nice to know you have a low fuel level light just in case you don't look at your fuel guage for a while.....

How did you light up the 'z' - leds?

sorry mr red,i know this has nothing todo with what you started this thread as but i just wanted to know how you are getting on with your turbo silicon hoses as i am wanting to fit some but people on here have told me not to bother as they tend to collapse on themselves when running high boost! but i must admit they look the part tho

I put in a blue LED's inside the dash binnacle, first I cut a hole in the dash surround so the light would shine through.......

easy to do, looks good too.......
