Are you sure it's the wiper blades and not the actual mechanism?

Vijay

no I have ruled out the blades if you read post and it isn't the mech rubbing or anything as putting a cloth under the blades stop it.

Mine does this on occasions as well mate and I like you replaced the wipers for silicone ones which has helped but it's still not gone completly. I have read that windscreens can wear out as well???? which would probably explain it. So after the summer is over and it's raining again I might do an insurance job on the front windscreen. HTH

the windscreen is new :(

the windscreen is new :(

I Know what this is !!!!!!

You may have perfectly formed wiper blades but how long have they beenj on the car ?? Over last summer I bet.

what happens is this:-

The blades always park in one direction down, so the rubber always gets left bent upwards and then the sun shines and they get hot then they cool down.

Then you start your wipers and with the blade angled up they start to rise and make a horrible noise. When they are on their way up the screen turn the ignition off so that the blades are frozen in position then take a good look you will see that they are folded as they were when parked.

Get a new set of blades every 6 months to a year.

I dont work for Bosch or Trico :o)

I had loads of noise from my wipers front and back, and just ordered genuine ones a year or so back and not a whisper since. Maybe i was lucky then.

Damn it, I have changed the blades loads of times I have only had the car 5 months and it didn't have blades when I got them, I have tried Bosch wiped but sounded like a cat in pain.

I don't think that spring is tight in the arms and someone has bent the arm must be to stop the noise (prev owner).

So next question where can I get new wiper arms?

i have been using the multi blade rubber wipers with no problems and they came from my local £1 shop - superb!

Well what do you know, I removed and re-seated the wipers (correctly) straightened the bent arm. And no squeak but the wipers that I got off Flea-bay silicone stops squeaks etc... are crap I will have to pop to halfords and get another pair of bosch as the missus has "tidied up" the other blades.
