Twi questions, help me!

I checked FAQ and cant find answers to these two...

Was giving my car a bit of stick on a private airstrip and under load the speedo suddenly went to zero and stayed there. I slowed right down and went into second and it started working again!!! Never done it before. Was wondering if this was a common thing or maybe a sympton of something else? Is working fine now.

secondly, my gears crunch going into fourth, but only under load. My mates R32 GTR does exactly the same. Is this a common thing for nissan gearboxs when they are old. It doesnt mean its about to die does it? I cant afford a new box! :mac1: I have just had an RPS clutch upgrade, do you think this is exposing weaknesses in the old gearbox? boo hoo

Thanks kindly in advance!!!

Redline MT-90 or MTL has been used by some members in the past. Try doing a search for it...

Speedo is the sensor, its on the gearbox i believe mayte and a fairly common fault.

the gears could be as said above, change the oil

Brilliant, thanks. I think z-tech will be getting a call about changing the gearbox oil fairly soon!
