WTF is a Herdy-Gerdy when it's at home?

OK, Nico is clearly someone who knows his Zeds and, being an administrator, sitteth on the RH of G. And is fond of falling off snowy mountains on unpowered wooden runners with no brakes.

But WTF is this about Herdy-Gerdy in his sig?

All has been revealed when I read the Grauniad yesterday - it's a Playstation2 game. Apparently, the young folk enjoy putting silvery spinning disks into a piece of electronic trickery then wearing out their eyes and thumbs.

H-G is one of these disk thingies. The Grauniad reviewed it and said:

"beautifully drawn cartoon world"

"extremely satisfying and will appeal to anyone craving something a bit more creative for their console".

Big review here

Now all I have to do is to work out how to get the needle on my record player to stop scratching the silvery disk.....
