I agree he WAS the greatest but we'll see. I think he's lost the edge that he always had? Like tyson but not so drastic and without the rape charge. :D . I wish him well because he reminds me of Wayne Rainey. more skillful but fearless none the less. The greatset of them all in my book was Barry Sheene. No doubt in my mind. :bow: :D

I think Barry got more Birds but Rossi is the better bike rider....only in my humble opinion.........

 

& Rossi got more money out of Honda & Yam. Than barry got out of suzy.

I watched him psyching himself up on the start line, crouched beside his bike, tapping the side of his bike with his helmet, theres no way he has lost the edge and he wins on ability not having the fastest bike.

Sheene :bow: , one of the reasons I ride. I am getting the hang of this new bike, managing to get my tyres up to temp now. :D

Dont get me wrong. Rossi is much better than Sheene ever was. But given the time and technology you cant really compare. Rainey just hit the scene like a thunder storm totally off hes head and if I remember right he ended up paying dearly for that in 1993? I could go on all night about my past heros of the 500 GP championship circuit Wayne Gardner is another one. I have just always been a Sheene fan. And like Suffolk said. He is the reason I am a biker now aswell. :bow:

Have to say I always rated Doohan as No 1 but Rossi is probably better than him.
