going to look at two lotus esprits today.

 

a 350 sport and a v8 gt model.

 

they belong to a friend of mine who is looking to get rid of one, so im off to see if i will fit in and get a drive. best thing is woman actually likes the things!

 

as i know the guy, i also know they have been looked after since he bought them as new, full history, yearly services, never been in accident etc..

 

will let you know if a bring a new toy home!

Very nice motors, my next door nieghbors got an older model one, '87 turbo that he rebuilt, its pearl blue, with cream leather interior, beautiful.

I really like the Esprits.....much better choice than the Ugly Countach. ;)

 

 

Chap near me has the GT V8 some come with OZ Saturn wheels as standard and look amazing.

 

Top car the esprit .. was my 1st choice before the Zed but having rear seats a boot and targas made me go for the Zed .. the V8 does seem awsome .. wouldnt mind a test drive in one

Always been my dream car but the dash looks awful IMHO and when I had an Elise I talked many times to the Lotus seller local to where I once lived and even he said they were very expensive to maintain. I always wanted the 2.2 Turbo just because of the 4.7 sec to 60 from such a small engine but now I would want a V8 for the sound and feel. However I was also seriously put off by the TV program that tried to achieve 200 mph from one and learnt that the gearbox is from an Austin Metro!

LOL I saw that, bloody funny that was.

v8 twin turbos steering goes very light when you hit 150 mph car starts to drift about .not nice. but good car more expensive to run then a zed but it is a lotus after all

now i thought the boxes were the renault 25 ones
