I just got my Datalog going and it returned Code 55: No faults which is good news, but other that the obvious, do the screenshots from my Z look ok or indicate a problem?

Thanks

David

1st screenshot would be before its fully warmed up.

so looking at 2nd screen shot :

attachment.php?attachmentid=20959

RPM is ok

TPS is ok

Timing is ok

battery - a little low, indicates possible alternator or battery problem

Swap one of the other gauges for o2 sensor RH, so you have both o2 sensors showing.

Lift the revs and hold at around 2000rpm, check that both o2 sensors move continously up and down the range, at the same speed.

Thanks!

Well spotted, I flattened the battery when installing the radio today, then left the radio on for a few hours whilst doing a few other jobs this evening. I’ll swap over the right hand side and see what results I get. I need to understand more about the other tests.

sucha great piece of software, how much did it cost including cable? something I definatly want when i get round to sorting a carputer..

So in ppls opinion which is better, datalog or consoltz???

I kno datalogger is about £150 cheaper, any other differences?

excuse spelling brain not working just yet!

It was £75 all in for the USB version (RS232 is almost dead). I've only just started playing with it and I'm very pleased. As my car is a bit slow, I'll be doing some speed tests today using the software to confirm this (or not).

consultz is the kiddy for diagnostic/workshop/tuning purposes

datascan is more of a driving tool i think

Yep.

Datascan is a better sensor readout tool for driving. Like having a load of extra gauges all in one interface, but with the benefit of being able to check error codes and some of the more handy tools too.

Conzult is the better workshop tool with extra functionality for the hicas, aircon and other areas.

I already have Conzults. Can i use the conzults cable and run Datascan to get the gauges display?

Or can i download the software from anywhere to try?

Regards

Kev
