Ordered a PTU from Courtesy at 1am on the 26th and it arrived 9am today, 28th!

I was expecting to wait at least a week.

Cost £156.00 including carriage and I got past customs without paying any tax.

Nissan UK wanted £320.00

Well impressed.

Just need to fit it and hope it cures my problems.

Anybody want it if it doesn't fix things?

 

Beware, if they shipped with DHL or whatever then the tax bill comes separately ! I got stung like that - give it about two weeks before you start celebrating ...

I'll have it off you Chris! Could do with a spare!

Oh well, I'll look out for that - it was FedEx.

I've always had to pay cash for the tax to the delivery guy before when i've ordered from the U.S.

Even so it's still a nice saving.

How has it gone? If it has done the trick, mail be so we can talk business on the spare.

Fitted a new fuel filter and the PTU tonight but only just finished it and haven't fired her up to test it - as Timmy Turbo will confirm my exhaust is very loud and the neighbours are a set of moaning old farts so best not leave it running for half an hour at this time of night.

I'd have taken her for a spin but got 3 other cars blocking my drive and the misses has gone to bed if i need a tow/lift!

I must be mad. Finished fitting it and noticed the car is iced over - never even noticed cos I was so excited about getting the Z monster back on the road!

I'm going to say a prayer tonight...

Sad to report mixed sucess with PTU's but 100% on clocks.

I'll send you it if you want Andy.

My Z would only run for 10 mins from cold.

As soon as it got up to temp it started missing really bad and eventually stalled and wouldn't restart until cool.

Does that sound repairable?

 

Sounds like the usual problem. It's worth a try, I keep a repaired one in my glove box for emergencies, you won't need that (having the new one) but someone else will.
