Hi All,

 

When i start the car the power light comes on for a second then goes off again..didnt used to do it but noticed it happening more and more now..

any ideas?

Hi there have heard different reports on this. Some say its because for the first few seconds the engine pulls more power from the battery than it puts in, some others have said its supposed to come on when you boot it & its on full boost? Never had a staright answer on this one myself... lol... would love to know cos mine does this too!.

Mine does it!

yes the power light stays on for a couple of seconds after turning the ignition on, I guess its just a sort of power on self test thing, if there is an error code stored then it will flash that out rather than the solid flash i think. Either way its normal, and yes the power mode should activate automatically if you floor the accelerator.

I think it does it just to prove that the light is working. Mine flashes a number of times because it can no longer find the auto gearbox or control unit !!
