Silly question, but having arrived home late and found that my Datascan cable and software had arrived, I decided that I couldn’t wait until the weekend before having a qucik peek. I’ve installed the software, all looks ok, went out to the car at 11:15PM with a torch, stuck my nose in and around the bonnet release but nothing, could spot the Diagnostic socket.

Or is it one of these that appear to be connected

(didn’t want to pull one in case I set the alarm off!)

Thanks

nope drivers footwell mate, should be hanging down, have a look see if its been tucked away

cant see it in the pic mate, normally its visable & isnt connected to anything also its a grey colour socket

Dangerous car this Z, I was rummaging around sort of upside down with my head in the footwell when my arm hit the seats forward button, almost death my electric car seat! And I still couldn’t find the socket.

One for the daytime I think, maybe midnight isn’t the right time to try to connect Datascan for the first time!

Thanks for all your help.

I found it, tucked behind the panel.

If it’s ok to leave the cable connected, then I’ll get a USB extension lead and run it over to the passenger side and leave it permanently installed, that way I can do some road tests without the lead getting wrapped around my feet!
