temp gauge

when the engine is warming up ,mid way say, if you give it some ,the temp gauge drops and then goes back up at about the same pace as the rev counter moves up but as soon as you reach normal running temp it stops. next question do zed engines heat up quickly to normal running temp.

Sounds like loose temp sensor connector.

Warm up is about average for any car. If it takes longer than your used to warm up then its probably sticking thermostat.

Hey mate,

Sounds like yours has been neglected in the coolant stakes in the past.

I would say get it flushed and pressure tested, change the stat and anti freeze it.

You might want to get the water pump looked at if it has been neglected, you don't want that letting go.

Oh just had a thought, the rad seal you put in at ferrybridge might be making the stat stick a little.
