I need to get some new tyres pretty soon, ive got toyos on at the mo, dont know what sizes ive got.

What would you say the best type of tyres are?

Featured Replies

The best type are Round black ones :D

Goodyear F1 GSD3's is a firm favourite with most.

The Toyo T1-S / T1-R gets mixed opinions

Falken 451's have had some good reviews on the zed as a cheaper option.

Tyre choice make a world of difference on a 300zx, vastly affecting handling, acceleration and Braking

The best tyres for a Z are the BF Goodrich profiler IMHO would never fit any others :nana2:

I may try these next time actually. although the Goodyear Eagle F1 is a good tyre, im not that impressed with them TBH

tyres are a very personal choice, what one person loves another will hate.. My choice the past few times have been Fuldas, a very good tyre for the price, in my opinion. however, i'll tell you what to avoid...Nankangs.....or KDF's as they are know (Korean Ditch Finders)

STS in my area are currently offering the above at around 140 quid ach in a sale. :hyper:

Everyone keeps going on about bloody Perrelli P-Zero's.... Anyone had any experience with these on a Z... Most of the supercar manufacturers seem to be using them... I know there nice and stick but what about the ware rate???

I've currently been using Falken FK451's for 2 years and they've still got plenty of meat left on them.. Had Toyo T1-S's before... Good sticky and progressive tyre on the limit but had to change them after a year cause they we're just about down to the canvas!!!... :(

Remember to get the rear sorted as well bud!-or your new tyres will be like the ones you got now pretty quick! ;)

MMM non of you like the Bridgestone potenza so3 tyres?? I´m pretty sure these are the ones to get.

I'LL BE GETTING TOYO'S FOR FRONT OF MINE.

NEED PLENTY OF GRIP ON THE FRONT.

NOT FUSSED ABOUT GRIP ON THE REAR, SIDEWAYS IS FUN AND I'VE GOT SLICKS FOR THE DRAGSTRIP. ;)

With crap tyres on the rear you will find 1st and 2nd gear completly useless, even in the dry and you'd get beaten my grannies in Rovers around corners ;)

Good tyres but expensive :)

I've had Fulda Extremo's on recently and they've been great.

Fitting my Falken 451's soon so will let you know.

Ive used Goodyear F1's, Toyo Proxes, Dunlop SP9000's, Nexen summits (great for drifting) and Falken F451's on my Z's and the Falkens have always been best for me!!

Thats why i now have em on both my Z's

Cheap too :D
