well the time has come

I'm running a few tasty mods

large SM intercoolers

HKS turbos

HKS induction kit

HKS EVC 1 boost controller running 1 bar

jap chip

the problem is all of this is running thru a standard exhaust with cats!

so its time to fit Decat pipes and a full custom exhaust :hyper: :nana2:

I'm hoping that with the other mods , that the power gain will be quite healthy

last time on the rolling road she made 220 rwhp with the boost controller turned off :x: :mac1:

Rwhp RPM

65 1000

80 2000

101 3000

120 4000

171 5000

220 6000

Fuel CO HC

low 1.6 250

medium 2.7 324

high 4 262

so I think the exhaust and cats have been really choking her up

looking forward to seeing how she drives at the weekend :hyper:

has anyone else left the exhaust till last?

or is it just me

If you're changing all those exhaust bits then try to get a set of the divorced downpipes at the same time. Those three mods will make a difference.

if he keeps spending money on it i think it'll be, divorced cadpaul

:x: :x:

Yeah,

I did that route and i wish i was a passenger when you get her breathing properly :D

I did induction, stillen intercoolers, 360deg turbos,Mine's 'Light tune' ECU and Iridium 1 grade cooler plugs.

That was all good, then I did the full de-cat 75mm bore exhaust and Jeez it was profound the difference. Should have done divorced pipes as suggested but hey i am not complaining.

Now I can get that boost controller and run higher boost who knows what she will put out. My Apexi Multichecker has seen 340PS.

(On a cool morning with lots of dense charge going in ;))

When you take the stock system off shake it around a bit because even though they may look sound lots of collapsed baffles inside means mucho restricto

good luck

really looking forward to the first drive, i'm sure this is going to be the mod where you FEEL a real difference. :D

the Guvnor mentioned that the baffles may have collapsed and that will be holding her back.

really looking forward to the first drive, i'm sure this is going to be the mod where I'll NEED an ambulance. :D

the Guvnor mentioned that the suspension may collapse and that it will be nothing to do with him, honest.

 .

I dont know :x:

what hks turbos are you running??? the only kit for the 300 is 2530's and at 1 bar even with the exhaust sapping your power i would expect them to be making 400bhp at the wheels?? you also need to think about going to a twin setup as them turbos need more air than 1 air flow meter can provide and then your also into getting decent engine management which is soooooo important!!

had a really good drive today, with out the boost controller on, and what a difference, the Z is so responsive now, and bloody quick, the power is just there, not much lag at all, a touch of the throttle and she 's away. a fantastic mod.

just got to connect the boost controller again now.

so are you at standard boost at the moment or did u remove the standard boost control solenoids and run it at 7psi without your controller on?

if the latter thats an impressive RWHP figure without an exhaust on!

yep the car is totaly different to drive now. this is the mod that the car has been needing.

custom s/s 3 inch from the tubs all the way back to a 4 inch rolled out . this is a top quality exhaust.

a couple of pics i took b4 fitting.
