As some of you may know my Z is unfortunately in the 4 For sale section of this site. I am in need of a quick sale as I'm buying a house and need some money for the extortionate stamp duty.

My question is what would you ask/pay for her?

Quick rundown,

UK 300zx Twin turbo Auto with full service history,

Needs temp sensor/lambda sensor- Get the work done yourself- £2400 buys the car,

I get it done- £3000 for the car

Turbos and engine are the original but are A1 apart from high CO2 due to the mentioned sensor.

For full car details please see cars for sale section

Thanks in advance

£600 for an o2 sensor, are you mad?

Worse case scenario its a lambda sensor which is in the manifold, Nissan quoted me £400 inc labour. However they can't fit me in until 20th April and I'm after a quick sale so reduced her £600 if someone wants to get it sorted themselves.

well nissan will gladly rip you off at 3 times the price a specialist off here will..

Is there one near me East Sussex as I couldn't find one? Also I need the courtesy car that Nissan offer.

Could always purchase yourself from MJP (about £100 each) and get any garage to fit, its not a big job (or fit yourself)

That would be the ideal solution. Only thing is a mechanic friend of mine ran some tests on her and determined she's running high CO2 due to over fueling. However he couldn't determine whether it was a lambda sensor or one of the many temp sensors as his garage (AA) didn't have anything that would plug into the ECU. To save the hassle of changing a lambda sensor to find out its something else I thought I'd book her into Nissan as they'll have no excuse for not knowing what the prob is!

So does the price seem fair?

Oh nice One mate, I'll give them a buzz! Good to hear from a local Z by the way. Your Z isn't the one I've seen in Seaford/Denton a couple of times is it? Mines the whitey at the start of this thread

Excuse my stupidness buddy, how do I get a conzult done? Do I need to find someone who has the software? ;)

give zen a call they can diagnose any prob there and very quick they can check the car over also, and give you a more competitive quote on the work.

is this the car that was on ebay the other week

Yes mate, Non paying winning bidder. Seems to happen more frequently on ebay than people actually paying for the car they bid on!
